Remixpoint’s CEO Takes Full Salary in Bitcoin as Remixpoint Embraces BTC Strategy
Remixpoint’s CEO to Take 100% of Salary in Bitcoin as Remixpoint Doubles Down on BTC Strategy
Remixpoint’s CEO, a Tokyo-based energy firm, announced on Tuesday that newly appointed CEO Takashi Tashiro will receive his entire salary in Bitcoin—a bold move that aligns the company’s leadership directly with its crypto-focused financial strategy.
The company stated that this compensation structure supports its goal of “shareholder-oriented management.” Rather than paying Tashiro directly in BTC, Remixpoint will first calculate his salary and tax obligations in Japanese yen. It will then use that amount to purchase Bitcoin at market rates and transfer the coins to a wallet designated by the CEO.
“We aim to have the CEO in the same boat as shareholders,” Remixpoint said in its official release.
Tashiro assumed the role in June and made it clear that Bitcoin would be at the center of the company’s evolving treasury management strategy.
BTC at the Heart of Remixpoint’s Corporate Holdings
Even before Tashiro stepped in, Remixpoint had been actively accumulating digital assets. As of June 13, the company held over 1,051 BTC, along with:
- 901 Ether (ETH)
- 13,920 Solana (SOL)
- 1.19 million XRP
- 2.8 million Dogecoin (DOGE)
These holdings represented a combined crypto treasury of over $116 million.
Tashiro’s involvement goes beyond Remixpoint. He is also listed as part of the management team at BITPoint, a Japanese crypto exchange affiliated with SBI Group. BITPoint has recently promoted politically-themed tokens such as Trump’s memecoin (TRUMP).

Other Leaders Who Took Crypto Salaries
Remixpoint isn’t the first to experiment with crypto-based compensation. Other high-profile individuals have adopted similar strategies to either advance adoption or signal commitment:
- In 2021, Argo Blockchain’s then-CEO Peter Wall opted to take his salary in Bitcoin, inspired by NFL star Russell Okung, who began converting his paycheck into BTC a year earlier.
- That same year, NYC Mayor Eric Adams, then a Democratic candidate, pledged to accept his first three paychecks in Bitcoin. Now seeking re-election in 2025 as an independent, Adams has proudly touted his crypto holdings, noting Bitcoin’s price has more than doubled since his initial investment.
